LANYON HALL GETS READY FOR THE LOGUES

The Logues are quickly becoming one of Ireland’s most sought-after live bands and have been called “The most progressive folk band in Ireland” by AMA Music Agency. The Castlederg band have played everywhere, from The Hills of Donegal to Dubai, and now, the band are taking their tour to NI’s newest music venue , Lanyon Hall, which recently opened in Cookstown.

Earlier in the year, the band were signed to Ireland’s most respected live music booking agency, AMA Music Agency – and although they have been playing together for nearly 10 years, this is only the beginning for The Logues. With a string of hit singles and a brand new album coming out later this year, this band is definitely one to watch out for. Their music captures exactly what the Logues are, an exciting mix of acoustic rock and ‘whiskey-soaked folk’.

The Co Tyrone based band is made up of five very talented musicians and friends, Justin Logue, Kiel Cathers, Christopher Speer, Darrell Nelson and Christopher Darragh. Building on the success of their self-released debut album Tough at the Bottom (2011), the band began recording again in 2014, and are determined to make the name for themselves they deserve, with their infectious foot-stomping, yet soul-stirring music. The Co Tyrone band have recently released their fantastic new single, ‘I Don’t Love You At All’ with a second track ‘Home’. In the past, the band has received high critical acclaim and extensive radio airplay throughout Ireland and the UK, and their new material coming in 2016 is expected to be no different.

Powered by passion and driven by dedication, The Logues have found their ‘Home’, and it’s on stage. The Logues will be performing live at Lanyon Hall, Cookstown on Saturday 6th February, admission is payable on the door, just get down early to avoid disappointment!
